a thousand green carnations arrived in new milford on monday to spread kindness, but when the coronavirus prevented them from being shared at school, the parent teacher organization shared them with the town instead.
588的彩舒适the annual fundraiser was meant to take place on st. patrick’s day at sarah nobble intermediate school, encouraging students to spread kindness and think of others, the organization . when the company wasn’t able to reschedule or cancel the order, the group decided to instead turn them into thank you flowers to those helping out during the coronavirus outbreak.

flowers were delivered to nursing homes, the fire departments, new milford ambulance, the police department, social services, candlewood pediatrics, the mayor’s office and some of the smaller restaurants still open. the pto also tried to share the flowers with hospital staff but they were unable to accept them.
“you brought a lot of smiles to town today,” on facebook, thanking them for the students for the flowers.
