nuvance health, the parent organization for danbury hospital and norwalk hospital, attracted national attention after it was forced to place some 200 nurses and other staff at hospitals in connecticut and new york as a precaution against any exposure to the virus.

“we are working with the department of public health ... in terms of certifications — see what we can do to get more nurses available now,” lamont said tuesday. “we have a number of training nurses (and) we are accelerating their certifications.”
